Walmart’s checkout is the best. Scan and then insert credit card. Despite the screen that shows a bunch of moron prompts there are only two steps required. Scan items and insert credit card. You do not have to press any of the placebo prompts.
I like Sam’s Club. When placing the items in my cart I just make sure the UPC is visible. Then when I get to the self checkout, all I have to do is point, shoot and count.
I prefer to pump my own gas as well. I used to work in the filling station business and you wouldn’t believe the number of ways the attendants can rip you off (unless you have been an attendant). An added benefit is I’m the only one who handles my credit card and I haven’t lost a gas cap in 35 years.
