After self-declared interim President of Venezuela Juan Guaido

The legislature of Venezuela removed Maduro from office and installed Guaido as the interim President. He is the legal commander in chief, but the military remains loyal to the man removed from office, not to mention the many thousands of Cuban forces that are propping up Maduro.

The largest democracy in the world (India) did not need American help. It was all internal struggle to dislodge the British rulers. Of course WWII helped because the British military was too exhausted to suppress Indian freedom fighters in 1947.

If you are willing to sacrifice a building, we could airmail you a few GPS guided bombs.

Probably the best thing that Trump can do is jack up sanctions on Russia until they remove their troops. It is the Russians who are looking to profit from this mess, as well as their surrogate Cuba. I think that once Trump is reelected, he will really take the gloves off against Putin, Cuba, and other countries like N. Korea, South Africa, the entire EU, and other malcontents, but for now, an increase in sanctions against Russia, possibly coupled with undercutting Russian oil exports, would be much better than military intervention or even consultation.

Sorry, if you want the job done, find a “Pinochet” in your country to do the job.

No matter how badly Venezuelans want Maduro out of there, and no matter how badly we want him out of there, if our fingerprints are on it, he will be a hero ten years from now and they will be erecting statues to him.

This has to be a Venezuelan operation, and has to be seen as a Venezuelan operation. If we have any involvement, it has to be completely in the shadows.

They have no problem putting 2 million people in the street. They need to have a friendly priest stand before the crowd, lead them in prayer, give them some semblance of “last rites”, and then they need to march on the palace. For Maduro’s soldiers to fire on the crowd or switch sides.

It would help to have a couple of flying squads to take out any of Maduro’s snipers. But Maduro isn’t leaving without bloodshed.

And Guaido needs to be at the front of the crowd, his own life at risk.

Well, this is where CIA needs to airdrop crates of AK-47s into the people in the countryside. Then it’s up to them if they want to revolt.

Its a shame Gauido is failing in his attempt to get the country back but we need to keep troops out. If Maduro takes out Gauido it may inflame the population to revolt.

Can’t we get a covert team in there to knock off Maduro and make it look like the locals did it?

The only people who don’t want Maduro gone are people making money with him.

I wonder how many drug dealers in the US are beholden to him?
