Illinois government has too much time on their hands to think up these stupid, crazy notions.
It only has one concern, raising taxes to pursue the expenditure figure.
This is only the beginning. Climate change will cost consumers lots of green.
There’s nothing stupid about paying road use taxes. Money to maintain roads has to come from somewhere, that’s a pretty basic government function. If you’re not paying it in gas tax, paying a road maintenance tax in another way is completely reasonable, even to conservatives, or should be.
Or do you expect them to get this benefit “for free”?
