6. Will congress be part of the “all” and have to use it like the rest of us?
And lets not forget... only Biden has said it openly, but the dems way to cut the 20 million illegals in on the Medicare-for-all action, too.
The only way Medicare has been able to survive as it is has been to shift costs to non-Medicare patients. If everyone is on Medicare there is no one lrft to shift the cost to.
I don’t know how the term “single payer” got to be the name applied to socialized, government run health care. Very few people know what it refers to, what it is, that it will cost them severely in taxes, and that it is a failed system wherever it is tried.
All people gather is that it is “free.”

There’s really only 1 question:
Do I really think our government knows how to run the healthcare system better than those in the healthcare industry?
-or has government meddling been a lot of the problem which gave us the mess we have?
If you want to keep your doctor, run for Congress, since the elites will keep theirs.
Longer waits for testing and treatment,
Denied access to testing and treatment,
Fewer doctors willing to work under wage controls,
Higher costs via increased taxes,
Treatment denied to seniors based upon soulless cost/benefit analysis.
“Visit any doctor or hospital, get care whenever you want, not need to worry about cost, because everything will be covered”.
Haven’t we heard this song before?
As soon as the Government owns healthcare, it owns everything in your life.
What you eat, what you drink, where you go, how you exercise, and on and on. EVEN your mental health.
If you do not do what they say and even think what they want, you will be denied healthcare.
“Hmmm.... Mr. Smith, I see that you have donated to the Republicans. This is a mental health issue we are going to have to deal with before we can treat your cancer.”
“Single Payer” is a misnomer.
“Taxpayers Payer” is more like it.
Government control ALWAYS results in shortages of a commodity. Because government control is price control and the legislators constituents will always want below market cost treatment. The Congress will always give in.
What the socialists will tell you about that is that single payer plan eliminates private HC premiums. So what will happen under SP is those premiums will become payroll taxes. So again we are already paying for HC now.
I am not in favor of single payer but they do have a point.
The big problem is that Sander’s plan offers unlimited elder custodial care, which will explode in cost.
I wonder how it would affect those of us with TriCare for life - it currently acts as a Medicare supplement and pays almost everything that Medicare doesn’t.
