Number 1 is easy.

What the socialists will tell you about that is that single payer plan eliminates private HC premiums. So what will happen under SP is those premiums will become payroll taxes. So again we are already paying for HC now.

I am not in favor of single payer but they do have a point.

The big problem is that Sander’s plan offers unlimited elder custodial care, which will explode in cost.

Medicaid for All is a very accurate description of Bernie’s plan.

AND-— a serious drop in new students in Medical schools.

In the near future, there will be NO DOCTORS born in America.

You will get your medical care from a Sudanese Muslim.

Doesn’t that sound delicious????

I wonder how it would affect those of us with TriCare for life - it currently acts as a Medicare supplement and pays almost everything that Medicare doesn’t.

You do not want healthcare from paid for by "the Government" (we know it's us that pay), their healthcare sucks and their doctors do too.

I was going to pontificate but decided to say it in few words.

I am not in favor of single payer but they do have a point.

Single payer is inevitable, the design of Medicare in 1965 was intended to make it inevitable, and it has succeeded.

The question we SHOULD be discussing is, will it be "soft" single payer, or "hard" single payer.

Under a soft single payer system, there will be a private market where you can buy whatever you yourself are able to pay for. Under a hard single payer system (which is what Hillary designed in 1993) selling you a service you wish to buy, with a few exceptions, will be a crime.

The long battle that began after WW II is over. What we have now cannot be repaired, and return to a pre-1965 private market is impossible.

People who look upon the period 1966-2009 as "private health care" are delusional. Every single thing that happened during that period was fueled by taxpayer money and debt, lots and lots of debt.

Soft or hard, those are your choices. If you don't fight for soft, hard is what you are going to get.
