House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., led the charge Wednesday to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress for not handing over documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe -- declaring the move necessary as the country enters a "constitutional crisis."
But Nadler took a very different stance on contempt back in 2012, when House Republicans took the same step against then-AG Eric Holder for refusing to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, where DOJ officials tracked thousands of guns smuggled across the border but did nothing to stop them.

If it’s stunts he wants, he should get stunts. Some enterprising congress people would be wise to review Nadler’s 2012 speechifying and do word-for-word recitations of them, throwing in mimicked body language.

And Republicans who are all up-in-arms over Barr were full speed ahead for voting Holder in contempt. It's always different when it's your party's person being cited.

You had your chance to read the transcript, Nadler. You refused to do so, so maybe you can’t read. Your attempts to expose the entire document to the public is against the law. You are attempting to do this so that those who are going to be indicted will escape justice. That FACT is recognized by everyone.
