George Norcross III, the South Jersey Democratic power broker long at odds with the governor, has declared all-out war on Phil Murphy, calling him a liar and politically incompetent.
After enduring a steady drumbeat of criticism over how his company and other entities tied to him allegedly benefitted from lucrative tax incentives meant to help revive the city of Camden, Norcross went on the attack. He lambasted a special governors task force deployed to investigate the New Jersey Economic Development Authority in connection with those tax incentives, as well as the governor.

(Not sayin' much).

I never understood how he got elected in the first place unless it was all just Christie backlash.
He said he would raise every type of tax he could, and he has. None of this is a surprise.
I saw him on TV yesterday for the first time since his election. I swear he was gone all this time somewhere. It’s like he doesn’t exist.

Next Governor will be Jack Ciatarelli.

It looks like an incompetent dem hack governor who wants to squeeze people for unheard of tax rates has allowed an investigation into the corruption of a dem hack politician who is lining his pockets with money meant to improve the hood and the corrupt hack is not attacking the incompetent hack in retaliation. NJ politics, always putting people first!

Please tell me you know what you’re talking about!
If so, that means there’s hope.
Incidentally, you wouldn’t have some good news about NYC or NYS, would you? A communist is in Albany damaging upstate New York, and a Bolshevik NYC turning it into a hellhole worse than the 1970.s.

I never understood how he got elected in the first place unless it was all just Christie backlash. Exactly that. NJ has a cycle. It goes like this:
- Democrat hack gets elected, raises taxes and enriches his friends. Everyone hates him. Voted out after one term.
- The new Republican governor starts off with big talk about change then does just enough to win re-election but basically does nothing of consequence. Eventually compromises with dems to screw the public. Things continue to get worse.
- In backlash, another dem hack is elected for a single odious term so that he can enrage people enough to vote for another republican who does nothing and the cycle goes on and on and on.
Christie played his part to perfection. Loud mouth, no accomplishments, got rid of the one good thing we had which was cheap gasoline by taxing it. Then it was the time for a democrat in the cycle, that's ll.

Basically. Add on to your premise that the legislature is almost always Dem controlled and this is what you get.
We’ll see what happens but it is noteworthy that we’ve always had GOP Governors and never a US Senator from that party.
