Yes. Exceeding Obama's alien numbers is the opposite of what he promised to do.
I cannot disagree with you.
However, my point was that the illegal invasion over the past year has been picking up steam. We’re close to the point of no return (some think we already passed that point).
Despite the tactics by the left, by now (30+ months since inauguration) something meaningful should have been done regardless.
WHY don’t we “take over” Guatemala? I mean, the land has got to be cheap, we buy up property at ‘fire sale’ prices and take over ...
I fear we’ve been shafted again. And, yes, we’re past the point of no return. How would we get rid of the ones already here?
Since our government is giving our country away that may be the only option in the future. Theyve all left so wonder what they would think about hordes of white Americans just moving in and taking over their country.
......”something meaningful should have been done”.....
What ‘more’ would you suggest?
For starters, how about punishing employers who hire illegals?
How about placing stiff fees on money the illegals send to the countries they supposedly have run away from?
It would have also helped greatly if his cabinet and inner circle was not made up of swamp creatures, liberals, and neocons.
Last, but certainly not least, Lou Dobbs had guest after guest on who pointed out things the President can and should do. I believe Sidney Powell (one of the greatest Americans alive today) outline a 3-point plan for the President.
Yet his ‘advisors’ remain clueless. Or they are simply making sure the globalist agenda moves forward.
Excuses sound good, and some of them are justified by the facts. But excuses can’t be used to solve our problems.
GOP sees this as a truck load of cheap pliable labor. Your Chamber of Commercial Hacks at work.
Everything Trump does will end up in the USSC. We don’t have a guaranteed 5-4 conservatives vs comedians yet. (I count Roberts as unreliable!). We need one more appointment!
Lets not make it harder by letting perfect be enemy of good enough and thus let Doug Jones-types win where they shouldn’t!
I don’t know how I am “letting perfect be the enemy of the good”. I am saying that nothing at all meaningful has been done.
Further, over the past year many people on line, on television, and in print have said what can and should be done, EVEN IN THIS LIBERAL, LEGAL, AND INSANE POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT we are now in.
Are the daily reports of rapes and murders and voter fraud and depression of wages and poisoning of the culture and political system and destruction of property and drug trafficking all lies?
I’m quite familiar with the Republican platitudes of letting the great get in the way of the good. Frankly, that schtick is getting old and rings hollow.
No matter who says it & where TV radio in print legal constitutional it doesn’t matter. If its actually anything effective Rats will court shop into a federal district court which means the next step will be a higher court then USSC (If it doesn’t got their directly from the district court!) It will all take time, maybe we will run out of time and we lose. No matter what it will take time and I would prefer going up in front of a 6-3 court then the current 5-4. Many of us would be willing to gamble with the current 5-4, Trump may not be.
If we were being invaded by a uniformed army from a foreign country, would we need to wait for a decision by the Supremes?
The Commander-in-Chief has declared a national emergency, has he not?
what you listed is already being done or in the works...
As for punishing employers this has already been happening since Trump took off the handcuffs from Ice Agents doing their job... Here’s just one.
Tree Company Fined Whopping $95 Million for Hiring Illegal Immigrants
https://www.lifezette.com/2017/10/tree-company-fined-95-million-for-hiring-illegal-immigrants/
additionally Trump said he will wait a year before he puts pressure on the country with an ‘executive regulation that threatens to end all remittances’ by illegal aliens the U.S. back to Mexico.... in order to force Mexico into an agreement with the U.S. that entirely ‘bans’ Central American nationals from passing through Mexico to get to the U.S. to claim asylum
First of all these are not ‘armed’ people and neither do they declare they are at war with the US. Therefore it’s still an ‘immigration’ issue and handled differently regardless how angry it makes us.
Declaring National emergencies is not uncommon in this case as Trump stated...”We have an invasion of drugs and criminals coming into our country,” Further he anticipated legal challenges in announcing the emergency which of course are now in the courts.
However declaring this nat’l emergency did give him broader powers which he’s currently using as we’ve seen on the border.
Token - not nearly enough. You know it and I know it.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and the invasion is getting worse by the day.
By the way, what about all those who overstay their visa’s? I don’t hear much about them being rounded up. And I know they continue to work for the same company as they did when they were ‘legal’.
At any rate, I am not the President. I do not head up DHS. This is their chosen field, and they have all the financial and human resources available to them to get the job done.
As I asked elsewhere: if these people who are invading this country wore army uniforms from a foreign country, would Washington be taking on the same lax attitude toward it? Would the Commander-in-Chief wait until some court gave the ‘okay’ to fight off the invasion? I think not.
We all know the vast, vast majority of employers who have the illegals on the payroll are left alone.
-—additionally Trump said he will wait a year before he puts pressure on the country with an executive regulation that threatens to end all remittances by illegal aliens the U.S. back to Mexico.... in order to force Mexico into an agreement with the U.S. that entirely bans Central American nationals from passing through Mexico to get to the U.S. to claim asylum-—
So the same President who already declared an emergency will wait ‘a year’ before putting pressure on Mexico...and how long after that will the ‘pressure’ produce results?
In the mean time how many rapes, murders, thefts, drug overdoses will have occurred while we ‘wait a year’? How many illegal entrants will there be during a year’s time?
Look - no matter which way you slice it, the job is NOT getting done.
Regardless of the excuses, or who is responsible, this is a huge problem and it is getting progressively worse.
Do you not see this as a serious problem that requires urgent attention? Perhaps that is the reason you’re not particularly alarmed at the lack of progress after 30+ months, I don’t know.
Still, we do not have forever to take care of it. In fact some argue the window of opportunity has already closed.
Liberals are always saying how much our country sucks yet the entire world is clamoring to get in here.
They’re life doesn’t center around THIS country....the elites see the world as their playground and the US their gravy train.
Probably! We would have to!
Like it or not we seem to be paralyzed by these district court decisions. I see where Trump is going to fast track the issue as to whether these courts have that kind of jurisdiction or not. I guess they are going to take a chance with Roberts.
What do you want him to do that he isn’t doing??????????
I’m fully aware and then some of what’s going on with these masses coming in....do you think Trump should be shooting them to stop this or what? or asking Trump to break the laws he’s obliged to uphold?
It’s not Trump holding back changing the laws it’s congressional leaders refusing to act where they have the power to act.... so your anger needs to go at those who are responsible who are refusing to address this as an emergency.
