Was this necessary given that providing the FULL report is illegal...? Maybe it was.

He didn’t invoke privilege while he was being investigated.

Of course it’s illegal, that’s the whole point.
If Barr refused to comply, he gets charged with Contempt of Congress.
If he did comply, Democrats would have him impeached for illegally releasing Grand Jury info.
Classic trap ... until it gets to the courts

Barr offered for them to review and take notes and they refused that offer.
Dems are claiming Barr obstructing because he won’t go to a Judge and get the un-redacted report released.
Just heard on FoxNews that when Barr walked into cabinet meeting this am he got a standing ovation.

The full report was made available to Nadler and a few other committee members for a private viewing....they DECLINED! So this isn't about releasing anything at all.....it's about Nadler's personal vendetta against Trump and his own position of power which he sees as equal to Trump....Additionally it's Nadler trying to discredit Barr so he cannot further his investigations of Comey, Hillary and the rest. Nadlers conduct is disgraceful. He has certainly become a 'menace' to this nation and it's people!
