She is correct that a heartbeat can generally be detected at 6-7 weeks and that that would be about the time that a woman might first suspect pregnancy. So yes, such a bill would in effect be a Dr facto/backdoor ban. But I thought RvW wouldn’t permit that anyway?

When I was in school a lifetime ago, a fetal heartbeat could be detected at 18 days by stethoscope. Maybe they mean the woman can detect a heartbeat at 4-6 weeks? Because I am pretty sure our medicine hasn’t regressed that much.
