Public hospitals are socialized medicine. It already happened, it's already here, and it had nothing to do with me. So why don't we just call some things like we see it, right? The U.S. Military--largest and most funded socialist program in the entire world. We have public schools and-- and public libraries, and the police department and the fire department. And we can all get behind socialism there, but just not in our hospitals.

Do they want to live under military rules? Do they want to be court martialed if they disobey their bosses or try to quit their jobs? Do they want to live on a soldier’s pay? Do they want to give up many of their constitutional rights? If you want socialism, you want to libe under military rules.

The U.S. Military is a socialist organization, really? I don't believe that soldiers receive something for nothing, as in socialist societies. Soldiers work hard, and they pledge their lives to protect America. What exactly do all the illegals these morons want to give everything to for free pledge to America...............to turn America into to third world shit hole they left behind?

I would love it if every one of these morons that make these comments about the military had to go through boot camp and serve in one of the Crapistans with our soldiers for a month.........to be educated.

The number of people in the military is quite small compared to the overall population. Also, military people are in much better health than the general population, so it’s a poor comparison.

The military is socialist in mechanism, but it’s not meant to be run by or for socialists. It’s no more true than pointing out how important an eggshell is to an egg, or the value of a harbor for a ship. Yes, those things provide valuable and important qualities, but that’s not what makes the things they contain or protect. An all-shell egg is of no value.

We spend more money than the rest of the world on defense by far, have more aircraft carriers than the rest of the world combined, same with submarines, military satellites, and permanent overseas military bases. No military in history has been more powerful is one way of putting it, but it could also be said that no military in history has been more inefficient or wasteful.

The American military is an awesome force for good in this world, but it’s not because of socialism that this is so. The socialist aspects of military control and discipline need to be reined in by non-socialist civilian control under Constitutional limits. When allowed to roam largely free, as has been the case for many years under the banner of patriotism, the socialist tendencies will continue to grow, grab power, waste and corrupt.

Clearly the writers for this show have never been in the military and know little of history. They confuse military discipline with socialism. They show their ignorance.

“Do they want to live on a soldier’s pay?” Just for grins, I looked up my pay for my last year in service in 1970. The princely sum of $2,525.00. With 2 kids. Livin’ large I tell ya. :-)

Socialism is a big component of this mess...

https://usdebtclock.org

...having a well-armed military to defeat socialists/totalitarians around the world is another component.

DEFUND/DISMANTLE/DESTROY (as necessary) socialist/totalitarian collectives foreign and domestic.

Well, if those who wish free health care sign up for active military duty then they can get their wish. But I wouldn’t trade my health care for the VA. health care system, for any amount. It’s not the health care providers as much as it is the bureaucracy that is the problem there, and with single-payer the bureaucracy would be 100 times worse than it is with the VA. system.

The show is called New Amsterdam, unfortunately the wife watches it so therefore when reading in bed some of it rubs off on me. I saw that scene this morning, disgusting. No different than the other hospital drama Chicago med over on NBC. Bleeding hearts, anti-gun, emancipating gay miners because their parent are not understanding and coming from a Christian angle. It’s nauseating but it’s Hollywood so no surprises.

I KNEW IT! I started to watch the show and I will admit I liked the show and with good writing. However, I knew it would go downhill once they start injecting politics. When I learned that Shaun Cassidy was a script consultant and know he is a lib I figured it won’t be long. Unfortunately, he is not like his mother Shirley Jones who is a Republican and one of his brothers. I have already stopped watching, so will see what happens. Why do libs have to inject politics in everything?
