Barr probably has a pretty good idea by now of just how expansive it really was.

Can we just clear the tables here once and for all and dispense with the assumption of discovery? This constant hedging and shimmying by establishment players, including York, Barr, et al is simply nothing more than optics. Everybody knows everything; the crux of the issue is how to manage the fall-out from the attempted coup.

Is Trump a proponent of maximum penalties? If so, then what we're seeing is merely the "meal preparation" stage to prepare the body politic for trials and possibly (one can hope) executions. Or, are discussions being held to contain punishment to only a few figureheads like Brennan, Clapper, Comey, etc?

Historical analogies are very effective, because they communicate via imagery/experience similar case examples. In this instance, I would suggest Yalta provides a useful model. The war wasn't over, yet the allies were already holding discussions regarding the organization of the post-war makeup.

So too Trump - the coup is over, but the dicey parts are how to manage a post-coup world?

Everybody knows everything; the crux of the issue is how to manage the fall-out from the attempted coup.

I don’t think everything is known yet. The threat of prison time and other penalties however will eventually reveal the true scope of Deep State spying up to, and likely including, senior people in the Obama administration. Bureaucrats are not in the habit of doing things that can put their bosses in legal and political jeopardy without getting tacit approval, consent or outright direction from above.

I think we still have a lot to learn from those who have yet to turn.

Yours is what I would call the 'rose colored lenses' approach. Mine is that Barr was briefed with a thick & heavy folder documenting the full extent of the attempted coup.

Team Trump has been in full possession of all relevant information for at least 2 years. The issue was how to manage the counter-attack. Wisely, Trump listened to Giuliani who advised allowing Mueller to continue in order to avoid the obstruction trap.

The problem Trump, Barr, et al are facing is just how does one go about managing this "affair"? It involves not only a complete and utter breach of a broad swath of US law, not the least of which is interfering with an election (constitutional issue ie treason), but also incorporates our most important 5 Eye allies.

It's very, very sensitive - perhaps the most critical foreign policy challenge facing the country since ...? The slow drips aren't about process delays of gathering further information, it's how to manage a possible sh!t show of epic proportions.

We should all remember that China, Russia, Iran, etc are still out there - these would be difficult enough to handle under a unified country. Hussein so successfully infected US governance that Trump has to first bring together all facets in order to finally address foreign threats.

That will certainly be a challenge. I agree with you on that point and also think that Barr has a good idea of WHAT went on. However I think there are still a lot of dots to connect as to WHO did WHAT over what span of time. Consider all the agencies and people involved and the complexities of those relationships, notwithstanding the need to determine to what extent people in Obama’s administration were calling the plays.

Of course all the players will have a litany of rationales, excuses, justifications, half truths and outright lies to cover their tracks. And there will be conflicting stories aplenty. Its going to be like putting together a giant jig saw puzzle. Everyone one of the unmaskings will have its own little history and dots to connect. That’s why I think it may take awhile for Barr to unravel and reveal everything.

Bigger than the Obama crimes, is the breach of public trust.

Those invoved in the coup better get ten times the prison time Lori Laughlin and the other college cheats get.

Because these treasonous forces of the corrupt Barry Administration were already experienced at pulling off elaborate, successful, election-related hoaxes in cover-up for Barry's ineligibility. Of course the media, but similarly, the public neither figured out nor rooted out these CIA-coordinated activities in 2011 and 2013, they only came back with a bolder vengeance in 2016.

Barry's Administration were years before using the Intel Community and even assets, personnel and gear of the US Navy and US Coast Guard to execute their partisan-political, election-related mayhem.

Thanx for the link. I still hold that all information is already known. Including the extent of Hussein's spying operation going back to at least 2012 (Romney).

The issue rather is management - how best to maximize the blow? A good comparison would be Midway - we had broken the Japanese codes. But how to set the stage for a decisive battle to lure, trap and destroy the enemy?

That's why I believe we'll continue to see these kinds of slow drips. It's part of the plan to condition & prepare "normal" people for the ugly truth.

The truth will indeed be ugly when it all comes out. The shocking reality of an incumbent American president directing, or at least knowingly condoning, the sabotage of an opponent’s campaign (and probably worse) is going to be a revelation of betrayal and corruption that will profoundly shake people’s confidence in their government (even more than it already is).

Add to that the deep seated corruption and manipulation of several, once trusted, federal agencies and the picture gets even uglier. So yes, a big storm is brewing. One might even say its a hurricane (a la the FBI’s code name for this plot).
