Senate Republicans feel that President Trump has once again pulled the rug out from under them on trade, leaving GOP lawmakers frustrated over their inability to influence the White House’s policy

Trump remains one man against the political scum who have deeply damaged our nation.

Senate Republicans feel that President Trump has once again pulled the rug out from under them on trade, leaving GOP lawmakers frustrated over their inability to influence the White House’s policy on an issue that could have major economic and electoral ramifications.

You meant the tariffs will raise revenue and promote domestic industry which will mean jobs and higher wages for Americans? That kind of economic ramifications?

The Republican Party will be the new Americana labor party whether the check pant blue bloods like it or not.

F*** The brutal communist dictatorship! It's by far the biggest foreign threat we are facing, and they are doing their best to help the traitors and seditionist within our own government. We can't allow that to happen. TRUMP 2020!!! MAGA!!!

You can be a globalist or a patriot but you can’t be both.

Quiz time. Which party used to have this as one of the main planks in their party platform?

We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.

In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.

The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.

Answer:

  1. Democrat
  2. Republican
  3. Whig
  4. Libertarian

Days after a group of Republican senators relayed to Trump at a White House meeting their concerns about trade tensions with Canada, Mexico, Europe and China, Trump over the weekend threatened new tariffs on China

"Please, Mr. President, be weak again! We're tired of winning! We, who know better than you, do not believe in standing up for our country!"
