I’ve never seen his record of trial or of the evidence to support the charges and specifications, so I can’t provide an assessment of the case against him. But, I have become worried about the evolving power of military lawyers who have no experience of combat and who have no responsibility for their actions, unlike commanders. Soldiers have to make split second live and death decisions while lawyers can ponder their law books for months with no consequences for making a wrong call.
When I was a 22 and 23 year old platoon leader and company commander I had to make very tough decisions every day. I wanted to take care of my soldiers, kill the enemy, and avoid harming innocent civilians. Easy to say, very tough to do.
Soldier Michael Behenna,wrongly prosecuted by the Hamas loving Obama administration, is granted clemency by President Trump.
Prosecutors argued Behenna shot and killed Mansur, an alleged al-Qaida operative, in the desert in 2008 in retaliation for an improvised explosive device (IED) attack.

Well said...I didn’t follow this closely like I did the Haditha Marine tragedy but from what I remember when Behenna was charged and prosecuted he shouldn’t have been just as the Haditha group shouldn’t have been.
Unfortunately Behenna was found guilty and I don’t believe he should have been.
I believe there is another soldier under indictment for killing some damn jihadis Trump needs to pardon him also!!!
Obama would have let him rot in jail. As would that loathsome creature G W Bush.
