The admissions within the New York Times story today -outlining how President Obamas intelligence apparatus ran simultaneous intelligence operations against the Trump campaign- are starting to merge the FBI and CIA operations. CTH anticipated this.
With new information about the U.K. operation using Stefan Halper (CIA asset and FBI informant); and the details of the contacts by U.S. intelligence operative Azra Turk; we can overlay the timeline and see a clear picture.

In a nutshell, Sundance believes the formal opening of an FBI investigation against Trump campaign people and the procurement of a FISA warrant against Trump campaign advisor Carter Page were intended to provide cover for the routine searching of the NSA database under Obama for information on domestic political opponents that had gone on for several years, until NSA chief Admiral Rogers put a stop to it in April 2016.
This abuse was documented in a secret FISA court opinion that was released in partially redacted form.
The identity of the contractors who did the database searches were redacted. They were working under a memorandum of understanding between the FBI and another agency, probably the CIA, with an arrangement that both agencies would have the benefit of their work.
A commenter speculated that these contractors were likely foreign language translators. That would make a lot of sense. You could camouflage someone researching political smears like Russian-speaker Nellie Ohr as a language contractor.
That would also explain why it was considered valuable for the two agencies to share the contractor work-product: the English translations produced by the contractors would have to be made available for both agencies under the MOU.

The article also mentions that this conduct goes back to 2012. Wonder what Mittens’ response will be with regard to the Obama administration spying on him and his campaign?
Bttt
They had no need to spy on Romney.
He was a willing Designated Loser.
They were going after the tea party.
tea party=deplorables=Trump supporters
Don’t forget John McCain’s role in this mess. Can he be tried in absentia?
Pdop also says she was CIA, probably operating under the same MOU. As was Strozck.
In the summer of 2012 the Supreme Court issued its Obamacare opinion.
Per Justice Scalia, Roberts changed his mind at the last minute and suddenly decided to uphold the law and then wrote an uncharacteristically incomprehensible opinion supporting his decision.
Just saying.
Mitt reminds me of that guy in school who huffed his own farts.
Looks like that thing is coming to a big fat white head, on Hillary’s nose.
There’s a reason he isn’t buried on Arlington.
Wish we could plant him next to Benedict Arnold’s boot.
Hah! There’s a thought.
Also, remember how Harry Reid in the summer of 2012 accused Mitt Romney of paying a net total of zero in federal taxes over the previous ten-year period? And challenged Romney to release his taxes to prove him wrong?
Reid claimed somebody called him with the tip.
But remember how Brennan briefed Harry Reid on the Steele allegations about Trump and then Reid started making public comments about them?
Did someone get Romney’s emails with his tax accountants out of the NSA database and that was briefed to Harry Reid for use, in a similar manner?
Soros went off on the court systems years ago. RIP judge Scalia.
There has been lots of speculation that Roberts was compromised by the Obama justice/intelligence services.
We have come to the point where operatives at many levels must fear “Arkancide.”
There’s some truth in that, but the paper trail winds up under Hillary Clinton’s pen at the get-go.
Obama’s big mistake was buying into her insanity, and then turning the clandestine services at her disposal (figuratively).
I do believe they should all go down, certainly including the imposter Obama.
