Re-read that sentence again, because it’s vitally important. Even if every income tax in America were doubled, a move that would cripple the economy, there still wouldn’t be enough money to pay for the liberal pipe dream.

Paul Krugman or Richard Wolff or some other Lefty economist will publish an opposing view and they’ll all glom onto that.

The Dems are giving the impression that Medicare is free for those eligible retirees.

They take $135 right out of my SS Check every year......and that's after paying into Medicare since it began.

Medicaid is the ongoing freebie that has totally ruined the system.

B..b... but Bernie said if I really believe it, I’d have it! We just need to stop being #1 and go below Obama’s level straight into the gutter! Then we can have health care for everyone!!

1. Some version will happen eventually
2. Democrats/communists would like to take 100% of your money and give you back a pittance to live on
3. Facts have never mattered to them - only power
4. Democrats and republicans are two cheeks on the same a$$

Simple as that.

Trump is an aberration.

If he succeeds, we survive (for now).

If he fails, we become Western Europe or worse.

Pray for this man.

The economics don’t matter to the Democrats. What matters is the political appeal. Remember the majority of the population has an IQ of less than 100. Something for nothing and the government taking care of them appeals to most of them. “Medicare for all” promotes the socialist narrative, the way the Bolsheviks used the “Bread for all” slogans. The concept appeals to the muddled middle that determine electoral outcomes. In reality, if ever implemented, medical care would collapse in the United States.

Democrats are hard core socialists, and socialists don't care. They operate with the objective of spending, increased taxation, and more spending. That's the end game.

They don't care that medicare for all is not feasible. They intend to pass, medicare for all, then rob the working class to pay for it.

Our problem, ("our", being Americans with more than two or three functioning IQ points), is that RAT voters, (for example, in max water's district; hank johnson's district; the "kill the baby now or kill him later" mongrel) have nothing, earn nothing, contribute nothing, therefore are fine with destroying the middle class, and continue to vote RAT.

The better argument is that Medicare for all would be a bad deal because it would cripple choice, quality, and the incentive for doctors to enter the profession. We can care for the less affluent, as we do now, without making medicine a government monopoly.

Today, all deference to math and reality seems to have been tossed out the window by the left.

This is the heart of our predicament. The Left is at war with reality. They think it's optional.

If a person is struggling to pay their bills the National Debt means nothing to them.

All they want is to be able to see a doctor. If someone else pays for it like the "evil, selfish, rich" they don't care.

Dims know this and are tapping into that.

that doubling all currently projected federal individual and corporate income taxes would be insufficient to finance even the lower bound estimate of $32.6 trillion,

not to worry: simply create money out of thin air and evade the consequences of hyperinflation.

And don’t forget that Sanders also included long-term care in his version of Utopia. I imagine all the other central planners would agree if specifically asked.

The idea is simple, at least at a glance. Take taxpayer-funded health coverage such as Medicare and just expand it, until every American has the same type of program as
any congressman and senator.

Yeah, sure.

99% of Dem handout schemes are impossible. But that doesn’t stop them from being vote-getters with way too many Americans. Gimme gimme gimme and make “the rich” pay for it is the new American Way.

Medicare is based on income. I pay over $ 1,000.00 per month for me and my wife not counting another $ 44.00 for part D (?) is it?

No one ever told me this.

I’m no math wiz, but:
$32.8 trillion divided by 323.13 million residents would be $101,507 per resident.
$32.8 trillion divided by 138.3 million taxpayers would be $237,165 per taxpayer.

That seems a tad bit pricey for my liking. Personally, I will stick with my employer’s self insured plan for $1600 Alex.
