Private tensions between Justice Department leaders and special counsel Robert Mueller's team broke into public view in extraordinary fashion Wednesday as Attorney General William Barr pushed back at complaints over his handling of the Trump-Russia investigation report and aimed his own criticism at the special counsel.
Testifying for the first time since releasing Mueller's report, Barr said he was surprised Mueller did not reach a conclusion on whether President Donald Trump had tried to obstruct justice, and that he felt compelled to step in with his own judgment that the president had committed no crime.
"I'm not really sure of his reasoning," Barr said of Mueller's obstruction analysis, which neither accused the president of a crime nor exonerated him. "I think that if he felt that he shouldn't go down the path of making a traditional prosecutive decision then he shouldn't have investigated. That was the time to pull up."

Why do these so called journalists, MISREPRESENT everything?

Also, why is Mueller sending letters, or allowing his staff to leak false information?
Barr is being disengenuous. Of course he knows what Mueller was doing. Mueller was leaving breadcrumbs for the Democrats to continue the investigation.
I will be seeing the words Uranium One on this board 10 and 20 years from now with people on their deathbeds muttering about charges being brought any day :)

I watched the entire hearing.
Here is the most important/revealing thing from it.
AG office and separately Barr told Mueller to indicate in the report what was Grand Jury testimony that had to be redacted, so as to expedite the review and release of the entire report as Barr had said he would.
Mueller did not do so. Why not? Because Mueller, for political reasons, wanted to delay, for as long as possible, the release of the report.
Why? So the press could continue misrepresenting what was in the report and claim that Barr was stalling.
Barr, seeing that he was blindsided by Mueller, and not going to let Mueller get away with it, released the now famous 4 page report.
Mueller, realizing Barr had outsmarted him, sent Barr a letter, not disagreeing with what Barr said, but wanting Barr to release the 19 page summary his staff had included in the report.
Again, Mueller, for political reasons, wanted only HIS summary released right away so that the Democrats and the press could continue to persecute Trump and at the same time claim that Barr wasn’t releasing the “full” report.
This was another Mueller set up. Barr didn’t fall for for this one either. He told Mueller “no”, he would release the entire report all at once as he said he would. Barr did just that.
The Democrats just won’t quit while they are behind.
1. Barr’s letter: wrong, covering for Trump, misleading, it’s a “summary” (of the 485 page Mueller report)
2. Mueller’s letter: contesting Barr’s letter, proof Barr was delaying report, referring to Barr’s letter as a “summary” (of the 485 page Mueller report).
In the hearing, one of the main talking points (lies) was to pin the title “summary” to Barr’s letter.
Barr never said, or intended for that letter to be a summary of the 485 page Mueller report.
In Barr’s letter he said “Although my review is ongoing, I believe that it is in the public interest to describe the report and to summarize the principal conclusions reached by the Special Counsel and the results of his investigation.
“summarize the principal conclusions” “and the results of his investigation.”
summarize CONCLUSIONS and RESULTS. NOT the entire report!
IT WAS NOT A SUMMARY.
Yet, in Mueller’s letter to Barr, Mueller stated “The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions.”
Mueller calling it a “summary” yet hedging his bets by referring to “this Office’s work and conclusions.”
Conclusions, yes, this office’s work, no.
Mueller is a SNAKE!
Barr did himself proud. In command of the facts and the law. Able to maintain his cool while being defamed and viciously attacked by Democrats. Displaying his mental superiority to the mental midgets on the committee.
The Democrats scored ZERO points. Game, set, match, Barr.

I think Mueller is trying to make a preemptive strike because he realizes that as Mueller digs into Mueller’s crimes, their friendship is going to come to an end. Mueller must be very worried.
Also, Mueller must be catching a lot of shit from his co-conspirators in the deep state.
Mueller is all about setting up Barr for perjury charges. When he testifies, he’ll undercut everything Barr said today.
