The most enlightening video I have seen (certainly not from American media) was a French interview done with Notre Dame’s former chief architect.
He confirmed several interest points.
- Notre Dame had recently installed a new fire-detection system
- Giant oak timbers don’t burn with merely a spark
- there were two full time security staff whose job was simply to monitor fire alarms. The building was never “unoccupied.”
- there was no machinery or electrical equipment in the area where the fire allegedly started.
Be sure to turn on closed captions to get English subtitles.
