I’d like to thank the Flyers and NY Yankee organizations.

By removing this offensive statue, and her song from their games, they have relieved me the burden of ever having to attend one of their over-hyped, over-priced children’s games.

Wildwood is defiantly proud to continue to play Kate Smith’s “God Bless America” every morning across the boardwalk and to welcome her statue - interesting to watch the reactions to the brouhaha through man in the street interviews on local TV - many and probably most blacks think the whole thing is overblown, including one young man who said it very well - “if we keep worrying about things from the thirties we’ll never get out of the thirties” - would have bought him a beer had I been around when he said it......

This kind of nonsense really pisses me off. When I first read about the Yankees banning Kate Smith, I thought back to when I was a kid sitting with my mom and dad, watching TV and listening to Kate Smith sing “God Bless America.” My dad, a tough, gruff Air Force Chief Master Sergeant always got a few wet spots on his cheek - due to allergies, I’m sure. May God rest his incredibly patriotic soul...

Have any of the former Flyers players spoken up for Kate Smith, like Bobby Clarke?

Not that I’ve heard.

If the fans had true integrity, they’d sing the song themselves at the traditional moment.

The statue of Kate Smith must be covered to protect the wounded virtue of a faction finding moral certitude from exchanging a multitude of social media posts; all detached from any legitimate philosophy or spiritual faith. The instigators trade adulthood and dignity for prestige without accomplishment. The subservient parties receive effortless addictive compassion as the drug of choice.

The true objective here is America. Here is an example of using someone’s human frailty to disparage the country. They didn’t go after 1930’s singers Evelyn Laye, Helen Morgan or Kat Thompson for committing similar offenses, because they didn’t sing “God Bless America”. The monument does not venerate the person but testifies to the extraordinary achievements in producing the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution which define the identity of America.

These documents stand in the path of those embracing a fiction proclaiming infallible direction of human activity. These politicians become patricians stand ready to offer responsive administrative laws and rules. Such creations supposedly provide supportive emotional security for all, but actually compel a subservience of citizens never intended by our Constitution.

True compassion and leadership would come from understanding how very few individuals cannot receive the freedom to create, encourage, explore, repair, analyze, develop, build, cooperate, serve and/or teach and become heroic as they exercise their intangible natural liberties as guaranteed by our Constitution.

It’s time The Deplorables took a stand and pushed back and stopped this Liberal crap. How many millions are beyond PO’d over all this BS including removing Civil War statues that are a part of history.

It’s time to roll!

I propose a park preserving Civil War statues, knee-jerk politically unpopular statues (Joe Paterno, Kate Smith and the legion to come) with an adjoining media museum dedicated to non-politically correct entertainment, news and documentaries deemed unacceptable to modern broadcasting standards. Speedy Gonzales, Amos and Andy and all those skits the great ones worked hard to give us that melts snowflakes deserves saving in it’s own sanctuary, safe from trends and tyranny.

This complex should be close to the Ark Experience. We need a whole “New Branson” for conservatism.
