Estimates say that there were approximately 100 mosques in the U.S. in 1970, but immigration of more than a million Muslims since then, led to the building of more mosques.

By 2000, there were over 1,200 U.S. mosques, which rose to 2,100 in 2010, an increase of 74%.

I’d hate to know the number of mosques now, 9 years later!
