On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” House Majority Chief Deputy Whip Dan Kildee (D-MI) stated that President Trump’s behavior is pushing many Democrats to support impeachment and his behavior is reminiscent of “some of the darkest moments of the Nixon administration.”
Host Wolf Blitzer asked, “Your Democratic colleague from Virginia, Congressman Gerry Connolly, says the president’s actions…are ‘pushing a lot of Democrats into the impeachment camp.’ Do you think that’s true?”

Are they that stupid to think if they did that he wouldn’t have several aces up his sleeve such as releasing documents on FISA amongst other things.

Perhaps he is and perhaps it is a deliberate tactic. What if he is Impeached and ignores the proceedings. Insofar as getting things done Impeachment would likely put a hold on other positive obstructionary tactics of the House SocDems while taking the attention from what he is accomplishing. It is a a given that he will get nothing through this House and Impeachment proceedings might just concentrate SocDem efforts in that narrow field and relieve a lot of pressure otherwise. He doesn't have to fear impeachment as the Senate is not going to follow through. Just speculating.

The ballsy move would be to introduce it now, get him acquitted within 90 days (if that’s possible), and destroy them if they bring it up again.
