I don’t think I produce melatonin anymore, at least it doesn’t feel like it.
The problem started when I was, maybe, 65. That was ten years ago. I attribute it to aging, as I have seen several studies on “Why Grampa Can’t Sleep,” and speculation that it is an evolutionary behavior to have old folks keep watch while the yutes slept. Yeah, it sounds like a ‘just so’ story to me, too.
Your case sounds horrible. My sympathies go out to you.
I think we are of a kind.
There’s nothing we can do about it so why let it get to us?
I got exhausted from the “why me” about 6 years ago :
And the soldiers have things SO MUCH WORSE.
We REALLY need to speed up treatment, though I know the brain is so complex, these guys aren’t old.
40s, 50s, that’s it.
Stop producing melatonin, interesting.
Did you ever try melatonin? I follow the vet brain injury boards and have never heard of it working!
What the body makes and what we try to replace it with are two different things.
Well I enjoy your posts and we shall see each other many hours overnight. :)
Regarding the time changes, I always did wake and go to work in the dark. Sunrises make it worth getting up that early.
