Well, liberals, including liberals here believe that once a person walks out of a jail yard, they have fully paid their debt to society and should be treated like nothing ever happened. I happen to not agree with that line of thinking and believe that the punishment meted out at the time of conviction should not be softened up, just to make ourselves feel better, and for a felony in many states, that includes permanently losing the right to vote. As far as I’m concerned, if you want to keep voting, then how about not committing the felonies which put that right at risk?

But maybe I’m just not ‘with it’ as far as the ‘Social Justice’ and ‘Criminal Justice Reform’ movements are concerned. In any case, let’s see how the sides line up here.

You paid your debt to society. Not to the ones that were wronged. You don’t get nothing until the debt is paid in full. Might take a lifetime or your life. IMO
