Tensions among former Vice President Joe Biden’s advisers are rising ahead of the Thursday launch of his 2020 presidential bid, according to a new report, with a last-minute replacement of his announcement video and major worries about his fundraising needs.
The New York Times reports Biden will enter the crowded Democratic field with zero campaign dollars and will need to raise at least $100,000 per day until Christmas if he wants to match the amount of cash that rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) had in the bank on April 1st. Members of Team Biden are said to be concerned that the 76-year-old may not be able to raise the type of money Sanders and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) did in the first days of their campaigns. Each candidate took in roughly $6 million within the first 24 hours.
“I don’t think the challenge is underestimated by the Biden team,” Rufus Gifford, President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign finance director, told the Times. “This is going to be tough. This is going to be a heavy lift,” Gifford added. “The Obama people are not a given, and they’re going to have to work for them just like everyone has to work for them.”
The Times reports that fundraising isn’t the only matter advisors are worried about. At the last minute, his camp has reportedly scrapped and is scrambling to replace the video announcing his candidacy.

I think they realized that the slogan “Joe will be a hands-on president on women’s issues” sent the wrong message.
May I respectfully state here that we are a biased site on FR in favor of decency, Judeo Christian ethics and patriotism. Thus we often view Dems as if they agreed with us but they mostly do not.
I believe Biden can get the nomination and the Dems and MSM will wholeheartedly endorse and accept him with all his fondling problems in the bargain. Including the suburban anti-Trump women (don’t get me stahhhhted on that).
However I think Bernie will get the nomination.
People in DE will be so thrilled with the announcement.

I’m beginning to think Uncle Joe may be having second thoughts about running again for president. Just my hunch. The minute he announces there will be new grope victims coming forward, and the accusations will start flying all over the place. The Democrat power structure wants someone of color and preferably a female to be their nominee. Does Uncle Joe want to go through all that knowing he has a slim chance to win?

Joe’s longtime friend Peggy Noonan wrote a column pleading with him to stay out of the race. “The Democrats of today will tear you to shreds!”

Interesting. My theory is that he’s being warned off by the radicals like Pressely, Cortez, Tlaib and the ISIS bride. They are the ones actually running the democrat party now(money and Twitter followers). No fossilized white males need apply except for Sanders who is a pretty good fundraising tool. Buttgeigh is going to be Kavanaughed soon as well.
Biden doesn’t want to put in the time or the money. He wants to have a couple beers on his porch with his shotgun by his side and enjoy “retired”.
