In other words, “Democrats”.
How about a compromise: Any prisoner that makes it to the polling station without getting shot dead gets to pull the lever.
It’s all a matter of collecting votes for a Democrat. They’ll gladly take the incarcerated because they know that such people are overwhelmingly “Democratic”.

If it comes down to Bernie or Trump, Cher would stand by a murderer to vote for Bernie.
So in a round-about way, Sanders is admitting that MOST incarcerated felons are socialist/democrats. Otherwise, why would he say such a thing.
The aunt, of a friend of mine, works in a small county jail. She told my friend that when someone is arrested for child or spousal violence they usually trip on the stairs on their way down to the basement jail cell.
If convicted felons voted Republicans, we wouldn’t have kooky politicians talking about their voting rights. Besides, I expect Tsarnaev will vote Democratic after being executed.
