A large chunk of republicans are globalist/elitist and want Trump to get out of town.
I sure wish they would, but I have a feeling they’ll go down with, or abandon, the ship if push comes to shove!

I wasn’t entirely convinced that Rush himself was on board until the last year or so — and even that’s been a work in progress.
He still won’t go certain places that a Levin or Hannity would go.
Rush is capital R before politics. This isn’t a sporting event. Both parties are sick corrupt. Trump is probably not really proud of the party but there really isn’t another way to do it.
I think that most elected Republicans fully understand what Rush is saying.
...and the math is VERY SIMPLE for them. If you oppose Trump, who will love you? The Republican base sure won’t, the Democrats sure as hell won’t, and so you get a few independents, while half of your voting base sits home.
That’s why most of the elected Republicans both hate Trump, but still continue to support him.
