A long article, but a great one. If you have limited reading time, try the last 6 paragraphs or so.

A few College/Universiy administrators are refusing to wilt in the face of imbecilic demands by crybully groups which portray themselves as vulnerable victims of oppression while at the same time waging coercion and terror against anybody who disagrees. Stalinist snowflakes, as it were.

MacDonald concludes with reports from two institutions which have fought back.

It can be done. Ladies and gentlemen, it takes stones, but it can be done.

Thanks for sharing. I expect that the listed college/university “incidents” are a TINY fraction of similar confrontations in recent years. I am glad to see that some schools are now trying to stop bowing and kowtowing to these entitled, self-acclaimed “victims”.

I am all in favor of the idea that when someone who will be attacked for speaking on campus, that a group of unknown “bully boys” also show up, and when the disruption takes place, they not only escort the villains outside, but then give them a brief pummeling, before disappearing into the night. A given bully boy only thumps a single troublemaker before leaving, so there is a limit on how many of pests you can get rid of.

This is a successful means of reducing the radical population on a given campus.

When Christakis meekly disagreed with another student’s claim that free speech allows “violence to happen on this campus,” the student shouts back: “It doesn’t matter whether you agree or not . . . It’s not a debate.”

And there you have the proglib universal answer.

It's there way or violence ensues.

“... a Hispanic student writes a lachrymose oped denouncing Claremont’s “western, white, cisheternormative upper- to upper-middle class values” that, she says, make her and other minority admits feel out of place.”

If white, western culture makes you feel out of place, IT’S BECAUSE IT’S NOT YOUR PLACE! If you don’t feel out of place, it’s because we are destroying ourselves to accommodate you.

Most of this nonsense is paid for by Fed.gov via the Dept. of Education.

Universities either stand up now, or lose it forever. The Participation Trophy Snowflakes have never suffered the consequences of their actions. Expel them and let them try to go to another school with that on their record.

These “victims” must have some serious sense knocked into their heads, by any civil means necessary, before they are turned loose upon the world. They will be nothing but trouble otherwise. Just imagine AOC multiplied by the thousands in our various levels of government.

PING!

I believe the original idea was for the student to be transformed by the university, absolutely not vice versa.

The difference came about when government-backed student loans caused an explosion of the student population that the available pool of qualified educators could not contain, thus poorly prepared classroom nursemaids became the norm, and their scholarship compromised.
