The WaPo's Take On Sri Lanka's Easter Terror Attack Shows Why The Liberal Media Is Straight Trash

On Easter Sunday, bombs ripped through Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa in Sri Lanka. The targets were churches. The death toll has surged to nearly 300 people. It’s horrific. It’s a terrorist attack perpetrated by radical Islamic terrorists. It’s a terrible tragedy. At least four Americans were killed in the attacks. This was a targeted assault on Christians, but the liberal media decided to use this attack to somehow drum up some trash story about the far right is now animated or something.  The Washington Post headline read, “Christianity under attack? Sri Lanka church bombings stoke far-right anger in the West.”

Well, first, Christianity is under attack in many parts of the world. ISIS was committing outright genocide in Iraq. That’s a fact. But remember, progressives, Democrats, and their allies in the media denigrate, mock, and trash this religion. Some could argue that they hate it, though they will do anything to defend Islam, even its worse elements. Why? Well, because they know it irks conservatives. It’s a bit of a troll game. We all play it, though it’s much easier to send liberals into a frothing mess of idiocy due to their hyper-emotionalism and adherence to political correctness. But I digress; let’s see how the Post tried to spin an attack on Christians into some warning about…Nazis:

Sunday’s bombings in Sri Lanka marked the country’s deadliest violence in a decade, leaving 290 dead and more than 500 injured. But the attacks, which targeted a religious minority in a predominantly Buddhist country, also resonated abroad —especially in Europe.

To some, it was further proof that Christians in many parts of the world are under attack. Several churches were targeted in Sunday’s bombing attacks, along with hotels and a banquet hall. At one Catholic church in Negombo, more than 100 people were killed. The attack took place on Easter, one of the most important dates on the Christian calendar.

“My thoughts are once again with the persecuted Christians around the world,” Marine Le Pen, president of France’s far-right National Rally party, wrote in a tweet on Monday. Those who died on Sunday were “targeted for their faith,” she added.

[…]

Regional branches and sites associated with Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party framed the Sri Lankan bloodshed as an attack “against us Christians,” even though the party officially claims to be open to members of all religions, including Jews and Muslims.

Local party branches in the city of Solingen and eastern Germany lashed out at journalists for initially refraining to establish a link to Islamist terrorism. Some far-right groups claimed hypocrisy and double standards, arguing that attacks on Christians failed to receive the same response as attacks on Muslims.

Social media accounts that appeared to be associated with supporters of far-right groups drew connections to the Christchurch attacks, arguing that shooting sprees at two mosques in New Zealand were condemned as anti-Muslim attacks early on, whereas governments and media outlets were more cautious in the case of Sri Lanka.

Ocasio-Cortez rushed to politicize the horrific terrorist attacks in New Zealand last month, tweeting approximately 14 times about the attack.

Bad news: If you are upset or angry about the bombing of Christians, you may be a Nazi (according to the Washington Post) https://t.co/jjbkJkP0bv— Matt Wolking (@MattWolking) April 22, 2019

Okay, so they name a few figures here and there, and it’s the usual suspects—and they’re few and far between. Of course, there’s no mentioning of the actual membership of these far-right groups because they’re small. They’ve always been small. And please, let’s be honest, to some, reducing taxes, cutting regulations, and wanting more liberty and a smaller government is considered a far-right position in Europe. Remember, we cannot accept that Christians get attacked, but nearly 300 died in this assault, so when the body count is this high, try and pivot and dilute the message by saying, ‘hey, some far right winger is using it to keep stoking hate’ or something.

For the liberal media, the far right, the alt-right, the Nazi is still some threat on the horizon. And they will obviously use the bodies of dead Christians to make sure we get the message. The message sucks. These people are not a threat. It’s a small enclave of losers watching old World War II docs in their parents’ basements. The Ku Klux Klan has a membership of less than 10,000. I’m not worried. And I’m sure if you search for the worst on Twitter, believe me—you’ll find it. The liberal media doesn’t dictate the rules. They don’t decide when we can or cannot be angry about an act of terrorism. If anything, this piece of idiocy was another in-kind contribution to the Trump campaign.

Christianity has been under attack from Islam since 622 AD.

There is no Allah but Satan, and Muhammad was his murdering pedophile.

Obviously, the “Easter worshipers” (AKA “Christians”) are representatives of the “far right”.

Socialism in ALL its forms is anti-Christian, from the crude socialism of Islam to the highly organized forms of Nazi Germany’s Third Reich and modern-day China. Socialism is an ideology that at its heart cannot share recognition of a loving and forgiving God with that of the all-powerful State. The Muslims differ from other forms of socialist ideology by making their version of a supernatural deity a PART of the government, thus adding the power of the trappings of religion to the secular power of the state.

Apparently this is a winning combination for them.

**Socialism in ALL its forms is anti-Christian, ***

How true. In William Shirer’s RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, he showed how Hitler used everyone to get himself in power, then planned to force Germany to return to a pre-800 AD form of religious paganism.

It isn't really strange that the WaPo should try to link condemnation of the Sri Lanka horrors (beyond the most perfunctory, obligatory type) to the "far-right." For the left, the "far-right" now includes all traditional Christians, all conservatives, and anyone who defends Western Civilization and tries to preserve it from the left's systematic dismantling.

Moreover, Muslims - along with homosexuals and transgenders - are now untouchable and can never be criticized. We are increasingly forced to accept their own definitions of themselves, however demonstrably false those might be.

Maybe it would get some coverage if some of the Amazon outlets of BEZO got attacked.

The Nazi threat is very real and it is already here. THE MSM and SJWs, they are them.

You know, the ones they have been waiting for.

True. WaPo’s not on the left shoulder, or even in the left ditch; they’re deep in the left woods. Anything on the road appears far right to them.

They would call my grandparents (working, church-going, law-abiding, immigrant American patriots) far right extremists.

Are we done with allowing ourselves to be defined by ignorant, unAmerican, queer kooks yet?
