COLOMBO, Sri Lanka—Sri Lanka’s government has information indicating the plotters of Easter bombings that killed more than 300 people were reacting to the New Zealand shootings that left 50 Muslims dead in March, the country’s defense minister said.
Minister Ruwan Wijewardene, who made the statement in Parliament, didn’t elaborate or provide any details about the nature of the government’s information.
Mr. Wijewardene also said a local Sri Lankan radical group that the government believes was involved in the Easter attacks, National Thowheeth Jamath, was linked to another group that he didn’t name. He called for National Thowheeth Jamath to be banned and its assets seized.
On Tuesday, Islamic State claimed responsibility for the bombings, using an outlet through which it has issued statements in the past, according to SITE, a security-consulting firm that tracks militant groups. The terrorist group said the attack “targeted citizens of coalition states and Christians.”
The bombings in Sri Lanka have killed at least 321 people. Of the more than 500 who were injured, 375 are still in hospital, Mr. Wijewardene said.
The sophistication of the Easter-morning attacks indicated to Sri Lankan and international terror experts that whoever carried them out likely had help from experienced international terrorists, perhaps even al Qaeda or Islamic State, Sri Lankan officials said.

The media DID NOT headline report that the bisexual Obama voting jihadist shot up that nightclub in Florida because he was angry at Obama’s drone strikes on muslim countries (even though he says it’s the reason in his 911 calls during the attack).
Nope, media and Obama told us it was Christian opposition to same sex marriage that fueled such hate.

No they weren’t, this bombing had nothing to do with what happened in New Zealand, other than convenient timing. The coordinated attack in Sri Lanka was probably 6 months to a year in the planning. This was not a thrown together operation, but one that took months to line up the logistics and personnel to target Christians (and westerners at the hotels). This was not a target of opportunity operation. This is just another attempt to make muslims into the victims, pure and simple

Once again, let’s look at the facts: 1 mosque attack. Thousands of “Christian” (and other) attacks. Looks pretty lop-sided? Consider further that the NZ attacks were perpetrated by a single dude acting on his own.
Once again, meanwhile, a large conspiracy of Moslems coordinated to attack - the true definition of “terror”. The other is “just” mass murder.
Muslims are always looking for an excuse for what they do. Like that justifies their actions.
