Can we start erasing racist misogynist rappers now?

This does lead to some pretty major hypocrisies soon.

Rap stars are REVERED in pop culture and media over presidents or anyone. Any rappers of age have had abusive lyrics regarding women. How long will this be allowed to stand? Even some R&B singers have some major apologies to put out there. I was listening to Rihanna the other day and the lyrics were extremely forgiving to being beaten by her guy. I’m sorry; that is not good for young girls to hear. We are beyond the 1940s where Billie Holliday can sing how she loves her man even though he beats her.

Jay-Z is Obama’s favorite rap, ahem, artist. Famous for such profound lyrics as: “You got troubles with your woman I feel sorry for you son/I got 99 problems, but a BITCH ain’t one”

Women in the 1960s were more open about telling off their rotten men
