Lucky this didn’t escalate. Mexico doesn’t seem to be able to stop illegals, but can capture US soldiers. This needs examined in-depth.

Mexico’s military knew where they were. If they’d suspected that the U.S. soldiers were on the wrong side of the border, they’d be in prison right now for firearms possession.
