All I can say is that I avoid stopping in Des Moines during my road travels across some of the best parts of Fly-Over America.
They used to have section 8 peeps staying at the northern Motel 6 location. I don’t stop there anymore.
Much like the Milwaukee Airport Motel 6 that went Section 8 and then closed.
Many Iowans think “Des Moines” is French for “Sodom and Gomorrah”.
