When candidate Trump said “and I assume some good people are coming here, too” or something to that effect, everyone denounced him for attacking the illegals as mostly rapists and bad dudes.
Has anyone found stories of “good people” among the hordes arriving? Regular legal immigrants and of course millions of good Hispanic people already here are obviously not what I’m talking about.
I remember a People Magazine article about Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam (had hits mid to late 1980s—All Cried Out, Lost in Emotion) where one of the group said he regretted being one of the teens arrested in the big blackout of NYC years earlier, in which he looted expensive items—he wanted to live it down.
Are there any stories of today’s illegals other than taking taxpayer benefits, dealing drugs, raping and home invasions?
We’ve all seen the treacly stories about DREAMers and what good people they are. You are right, though, there is a dearth of such stories about everyday illegal immigrants. I suppose the press is still governed by the old journalism adage “If it bleeds, it leads.”
