This is a different universe from US military in the Middle East, this is our military operating to protect our homeland, in our homeland.

I think that this will happen again and the outcome may not be so “peaceful”.

Yeah man, it sounds odd.

I no nothing of what appropriate conduct is in that situation.

All I hear in the movies is that a soldier never relinquishes his firearm.

But i’m not gonna go by what a movie says when we have military folks on this board.

They seem, however, to not be thrilled that the arms were surrendered.

Perhaps they were already made to understand that there was to be NO trouble if possible, if a situation like this happened.

I dunno.
