The Church in the US hasn’t had real leadership in a long time; surely the Vatican has noticed that the party promoting abortion, “gay marriage”, etc. is strongest in areas with the highest concentrations of American “Catholics”. At the March for Life decades ago, I realized the anti-abortion movement in this country was primarily a Protestant cause (to their credit, and my shame).
