Hungary’s top diplomat praises Trump on NATO push, contrasts against Obama-era ‘lecturing’

NEW YORK -- Hungary’s top diplomat, in an interview with Fox News, praised President Trump’s push for NATO partners to boost military spending -- and said the administration's treatment of Central European countries as allies represents a stark contrast from what he called the “lecturing” of the Obama years.

“Since the current administration has been in power, the relationship has totally changed and the relationship is based on mutual respect which used not to be the case,” Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told Fox News. “So before this administration took office, ‘lecturing’ was basically the right expression to describe our relationship.”

Szijjarto’s comments come just days after Hungary and the U.S. signed a new Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA). A State Department official told Fox News that the new agreement means the U.S. and Hungary will be “better positioned to meet and overcome current and future challenges that threaten stability in the region and beyond.”

smart move by Trump for America. Germany seeks to dominate west Europe, being in bed with Russia, who wants to expand into east and central Europe, and so Germany is more apt to turn a blind eye to CE as Russia and China consolidate more territory. Zero was too busy fawning over Merkel and Western Royalty, desperate for acceptance as their Mufti, to pay the R & C objectives any mind. Focusing on central Europe and increasing America’s ideological influence in that area, otoh, limits Russia and China, forcing Germany’s export-dependent economy to be more flexible, more agreeable to mutually beneficial trade with others, and more an equal partner instead of the dominant force in the EU. It’s the same game in reverse against the US with R and C’s penetration into C and S America.

The whole world hated “Obozo’s” snarky, arrogant, hectoring but they all kissed his a&*.

Hmmmm… Why didn’t they object, THEN, when it mattered?

It made me lose respect for all of them, including our so called, ‘allies’, who sat still for that BS!

They never seem to have any problem sniping at Trump...and HE’S trying to secure THEIR futures and our relationships with them.

It was disgusting how the Yurps just gobbed Obama’s knob constantly even while he was often extremely arrogant to them in return.

They’ve always had a tendency to lick the boot that kicks them.
