It is time to return to the principles of Lincoln -- equality, dignity, and opportunity for all. Sure. Right.
If this character is a Lincoln worshipper, as most of the last few Democrats were, as a sop to Republican voters, he needs to brush up on U.S. History.
Along with other affronts to 21st-century ethical standards, Honest Abe proposed that former slaves be repatriated--to Africa. (The SJWs of the day would no doubt be aghast at this racist suggestion.)
Then there's that unpleasantness that occurred shortly after Lincoln's election pitting brother against brother . . .

I can’t wait to see the media hype this guy up. The media and their party, the Democratic Party, will be telling stories about how they’re all for Weld and how they feel that he’s the best candidate out of both the Dems and Repubs.
