I thought that the word “mulatto” fell out of favor long ago.

My great-grandmother passed herself off as part Native American; she even raised my grandfather in Indian territory. I suspect that she was actually mulatto, since our DNA analysis showed no Native ancestry, but there is some African ancestry.

They’re called “mixed”, and in school, they tend to act up the most, probably because they think they have to prove themselves.

I think you probably meant American Indian.
