His $500 million charity certainly “swings” this in a favourable direction.
I agree that it’s a bit over the top for winning his fifth Masters. Maybe if he got a sixth, matching Nicklaus, then it could be appropriate.

The medals given out by Clinton, Bush and Obama went to people I would question so it’s Trump’s deal. As far as I am concerned I would rather Tiger have it than others I have seen get it.

The Medal of Freedom is just a gimmick. All it means is that a president likes your views, or else wants to be in a picture with you. But in a time when Blexit is a real thing, giving it to Tiger is good political timing.

I’m neutral of this action. But I can see how Tiger’s comeback is good for golf and if golf is made better .....well it follows.

What did some of the POS Clinton and Obama decorated do to receive the honor? Tiger achieved greatness in his game. If we are going to count PERSONAL behavior above professional achievements we're going to have to discard a LOT of heroes and loved ones.
Ready to call many historical heroes pigs? Eisenhower,JFK,RFK,Swimmer Kennedy-ok. Does JFK cheating on Jackie change how he handled the Cuban Missile Crisis, or the space program?( and I'm no Kennedy fan!)
How about admired 'great' celebrities,singers? Better not listen to Sinatra, or watch Errol Flynn!
How about if one of your parents cheated on the other, or your child on their spouse? Ready to discard them? Uninvite from Thanksgiving? Let's be consistent.
No more watching movies or listening to music or even shopping at supermarkets unless the individual/owner does not offend you morally.
Tiger may be a pig, morally, but that affects his significant other NOT people who watch him at his profession. If we are going to discount his professional accomplishments because of his personal life we should do it for ALL whose private lives offend.
I care what Tiger does with the balls in his bag, not his pants.
He deserves the medal.
