Gas prices continue to rise in L.A. County, surpassing $4 per gallon

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.3 cents Sunday to $4.065 -- its highest amount since July 31, 2015.

The average price has risen 35 consecutive days, increasing 70.6 cents, including 2.7 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 19.9 cents more than one week ago, 69.6 cents higher than one month ago and 46.6 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose 1 cent to $4.032, one day after rising 2.5 cents to surpass the $4-a-gallon mark for the first time since Aug. 2, 2015.

It has risen 27 consecutive days, increasing 71 cents, and is 20.1 cents more than one week ago, 71.5 cents higher than one month ago and 46.3 cents greater than one year ago.

The recent sharp increases are the result of a series of refinery issues that have reduced supply, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.

Cry Me a River California. It’s your own stupid policies that cause this. This has nothing to do with the rest of the country. We only pay about $2.50 for gas.

What they love are the sales taxes for the state, county and city charged for each gallon based on the latest price increase.

In November, the public in Cal in it’s infinite wisdom, believed lies by Gov Brown and failed to recall 65 per gallon in recent gas tax increases.

The state is notorious for directing gas taxes into the general fund and not using it for roads, as the law intends.

It was 2.90/gal yesterday where I fill up (cheapest place in town).

There is no doubt gasoline prices have been climbing fast over the last month.

I’d like to know what’s behind all this. Gas prices jumped here in North Central Florida 40 cents a gallon the past month.

Well, it's CA. Taxes are good, people are bad (at least the productive tax paying types) and it saves the planet.

Mississippi for a little while.

My Wife’s two Sister’s and Husbands moved there years ago taking their Mother with them. Now my M-I-L is in a Nursing Home and not doing too well so my Wife wants to be closer to her.

From there we will be looking for a permanent place to Retire.

Not sure where we will ultimately end up, thinking about Hilton Head SC or the MS/AL/FL Gulf Coast.

"The state is notorious for directing gas taxes into the general fund and not using it for roads, as the law intends [emphasis added]."

This indicates that the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds are not doing their duty to guarantee each state a republican form of government imo.

"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

All patriots in the nation need to rescue California citizens from their renegade government. Patriots do this by electing a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will promise to not only support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, but will make penal laws to discourage state lawmakers from ignoring state laws.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA!

Corrections, insights welcome.

Pelosi, Swalloswell, Schiff and the rest of the California cabal are ready for their CNN closeup to tell the country it’s all the evil Trump / oil Company’s doing. It’s going to happen, I have seen it so many times when Bush II was President. And not one Reporter will ask them about the ludicrous gas taxes RATS implementated in CA.

You think with all the money the cities are raking in that there would be no potholes yet there they are.
Psst... Nearly all the money is going to pay the pensions for city and state workers.
