Last Prez election Texas was close and with Cruz it was close —Texas used to be a total LOCK.

Trump alarmed a lot of older more staid Republican voters. Cruz ran a *horrible* campaign that was woefully mismanaged and consisted almost entirely of telling the voters “I’m Ted Cruz, you should vote for me because I’m Ted Cruz!” but had almost no ground game and had almost non-existent internet messaging.
