At some point, they will hate socialism


But only if they experience its horrors in depth, then get themselves out of it. Any ‘rescue’ from outside will deprive them of the task they need to accomplish for themselves. Otherwise their brief jubilation will be replaced by a return to the habits that got them there.

My point exactly. Moreover, having a socialist shit-show running daily in Venezuela benefits Americans - by giving a constant reminder and argument against the stupid cliches of people like Sanders and AOC.

Current US policies aren’t helping much. If anything they allow Maduro to stay in charge by misplacing the blame from socialism to US hostility.
It is said that when you have blackout it is because of US sabotage and sanctions on certain equipment and you are poor because US prohibits Venezuela’s oil trade.
The above propaganda mostly corresponds with US official statements so people believe Maduro.
If one thinks military intervention would work just fine it has to be reconsidered.
