RE: I’m not sure Cain was a solid pick in the first place. He’s good for A role in Washington, but probably not THIS one.

Herman Cain HAS EXPERIENCE with Federal Reserve.

He was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from 1989 to 1991. He was deputy chairman, from 1992 to 1994, and then chairman until 1996, of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

He is MORE THAN QUALIFIED. The opposition to his nomination is POLITICAL and has nothing to do with qualification or competence.

I get that. Cain hasn't been a Fed guy in more than two decades, and he's basically a political figure NOW. The guy's track record over that time is a political one, not a financial/economic one.

This is why I'm not a Steve Moore fan, either. He's a smart guy, but he's spent the last few years as a political advocate and media pundit. A number of his written articles and interviews in that time contain statements that would never stand up to close economic/financial scrutiny.
