For most Democrats, serving in Congress isn’t about leadership or solving the nation’s problems, it has become nothing more than a quest to ‘get’ political opponents — the president of the United States, all Republicans, or, in the case of “Crazy” Maxine Waters on Wednesday, “mega-bankers.”
Waters hauled representatives from five of the country’s biggest banks before her House Financial Services Committee, which she chairs, to berate them over something that neither they nor the Trump administration had anything to do with: Building the country’s massive, $1 trillion-plus student loan debt.
It quickly became apparent that Waters had no clue what she was talking about — and no idea that Obama ordered the federal government to nationalize student loans in 2010, nearly a decade ago.

This is a repeat of the housing mess created by the criminals in Congress through the CRA that the HUD through Fannie and Freddie Mac spread. The banks got into this mess when they realized they could make some serious dough packaging mortgages as securities but TO BE SURE, this started with Democrats like Barney Frank.

I have been watching the appearance of AG Barr in front of a House committee (ostensibly about the budget, but of course they fail to do their job, and use the hearing to bash Trump and the handling of the Mueller report) and without fail, every single one of them manages to show themselves to be the ignorant a$$hats they are.

During that period-—a seasonal farm worker from Mexico got a loan to buy a $650,000 house in Fresno, Calif.
It took over 7 months for the bank to realize he wasn’t making the payments & to take it back.
That is how OUT OF CONTROL the banks were at that time. The FEDERAL government & taxpayers would cover their losses.
AND—all those elected financial genius’ want to have a hard look at Trump’s tax returns.

Maxine Waters is likely the most ignorant, ideological, and racist person I have ever seen in my lifetime to be on any committee of ANY kind.
It would be hilariously funny, except that people like her are the exact same types (in her case the exact same PERSON) of people who resulted in trillions of dollars lost and pensions destroyed in the crash of 2008.
Instead of being DISCGRACED and unable to show her damned ugly face in public, she is THE CHAIR of the IMPORTANT Financial Services Committee.
It is a damned embarassing and destructive sitation for our country.

In the Barr hearings I have been watching, it is supposed to be about the budget for various arms of the DOJ, but they are treating it as a leftist Dog and Pony show and an opportunity to spew.
Congress and the Media are the only ‘professions’ to rank lower than lawyers and used car salesmen in Americans esteem..............
