I've seen speculation that this may be related to this:

Although it may sometimes seem like it, not everything is pedophilia-related! Another article said both were 77 years old. The missus had been confined to a wheelchair for a year or two and had descended into dementia. No signs of kid-diddling . . .

Wife had dementia. Instead of shopping around for another model, he took her out and then joined her. $200 million couldn’t save her mind. One theory, anyway, FWIW.

Back in 1990, I met Irwin Jacobs when I was looking at Larson Boats to sell. Nice guy, but I never sold his boats. RIP and prayers to the family.

The guy had 5 kids. That’s a low life move... and he didn’t have the excuse of poverty. He could have afforded all the care possible.
Low life.

Could have been a Bigfoot too.
Dennis Mathisen, a longtime business associate of Irwin Jacobs, told the Star Tribune Wednesday afternoon that Irwin killed his wife and then himself. Both were 77.
Health issues?
Money issues?
Mercy killing followed by I don’t want to live without you or with what I’ve done.
Much more likely

Why are you associating this couple with sex trafficking. Minnesota is a big state.

Very sad. Prayers for the family they left behind. Losing your parents is bad enough, I cant imagine losing them like this.

The Jacobs used to own a restraunt named Sascha’s in Wayzata on Lake Minnetonka. My brother and my best friend used to work there in the 80s. My friend even accidentally dropped a tray filled with glasses of ice water down Irwin’s shirt. I doubt he was affiliated with sex trafficking.
