We bought a small piece of land out of town in rural southern Oregon, thinking it would be a nice place to raise a family.
It was not what we expected. Liberal whiners everywhere. Complaining about issues they should have left in California before migrating north to Oregon....to ruin it too.
We only lasted a few years before we realized that Oregon (at least west of the Cascades) was not what it appeared at first blush.

Yep. I knew a bunch of people in Silicon Valley who retired and moved to the Ashland - Grants Pass corridor. S. Oregon Coast, as well. Gold Beach, etc.
