I used to think that way. Then I read The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ by Roger Stone. Subsequently I read The Reporter Who Knew Too Much: The Mysterious Death of What’s My Line TV Star and Media Icon Dorothy Kilgallen by Mark Shaw which bears on the JFK assassination. Read them and get back to me.

Yes, Sir/Ma’am. That is the reason for the post. It seems a bit ironic to me that he (Starr) would make a statement like this after all this time and considering all the circumstances back then.

Back around 1984, I attended a several week training session in Dallas. The first meeting each person stood up and told everyone a bit about them self. All of us were Federal Agents. One guy mentioned that he knew Jack Ruby.
A few days later several of us were having lunch together at a near by restaurant. The subject of Ruby came up. The guy didn’t know any more about the assassination than anyone else but he did know one thing which has been soft sold ever since.
Jack Ruby was not just a guy on the fringes of the mob. He was a real player.
