I’m all for reparations, assuming the entitlements paid out to AAs over the last 50 years are first deducted from the proposed amount. I have a feeling they would end up owing US money.

It was not America’s Original Sin. It was the southern democrats who were the perpatrators of this evil. The Northerners pushed for abolition and freedom for the slaves. That is what the Civil War was all about. People like Al Sharpton conveniently forget that the North was against slavery. That is because it looks better if it was a unified effort to keep them enslaved. I object to being forgotten when several relatives were wounded fighting for the North.
I'd reserve some credit for Brits, Portugese, Arabs and assorted Africans. Probably most of the credit. They were the drug Czars, southern democrats at worst addicts, who today's democrats should recognize as victims. And what about Spain? Did they promote slavery anywhere in the hemisphere? They owe reparations big time. Hispanics paying hispanics.
