No. Democracy is a threat to capitalism.
Too many otherwise intelligent, educated Americans worship at the shrine of democracy--our government schools--not knowing this great nation is not even a democracy, which most resembles mob rule, 50% plus one dictating how the other half should live their lives.
Our country's founders were well aware of the dangers democracy holds. They chose to make the new nation a republic, limited in its powers by a constitution and a tri-partite federal government with defined functions, leaving other matters to the States.
Mr. Buttigieg doesn't have a clue about either democracy or capitalism.
