We and the Left are now two nations within one country. This is undeniable. We are now so different that we cannot even agree on what a country is, or on the merits of a country having a border. The number of people who still say, "I just don't care about politics" dwindles. It is still possible to hate both sides — but it is getting hard to be indifferent and still be breathing. How many people can just take or leave infanticide? How many people are entirely flexible about the idea of the government having authority over anything and everything, to experimenting with our fundamental demographics, or to giving up fossil fuels cold turkey? The abyss looms large beneath us.
We conservatives have let this ideological cancer metastasize for far too long for its excision to be simple or painless. For too long, we have been patient with outrages we should have fought to reverse. We have let our opponents secede incrementally from us for decades. We have been tolerant and patient...we have given up our civil society, our political representation, and our freedoms one by one. Our maladies won't be fixed by delicate adjustments now...Either the cancer wins, and kills us all, or we defeat it — and we accept the scars. Let us not pretend they would not be hideous scars. And let us not pretend it would not be a deeply barbarous and bitter surgery.
The titanic nations of the Left and right are rising en masse — flexing their muscles and snorting menacingly at one another. We cannot get out of their way. There is no safe part of the country, nor any genuinely safe haven left in any other country. This is a global conflict. We have run out of frontiers.

I think that about my parent’s generation every day.
Every day, I go visit them in nursing homes. 90% of them wish they were dead. Most of them would have never had that heart operation ten years ago. Most of them are incontinent, most of them have dementia.
I have walked out there praying they would all be “taken” tonight. But each in their own time.
My guess is your parents have already passed or you are young enough that you haven’t had to live this yet.
It happens with every generation. Trust me. Either you haven’t faced it, or you are not being openly honest about it.

We live on borrowed or printed money that is far greater than 3% of federal taxes!
The U.S. had a budget deficit of 779 billion in 2018.
There were 1,822 billion collected in income taxes, and 1,295 collected in Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, and retirement funds. Total about 3,117 billion in direct individual taxes.
So the deficit is already as much as 25% of the individual taxes collected.
How will another 3% make a significant difference?
The big question is which side controls the U.S. armed forces!
The Navy is a big part of that. We won't have a war if the government stays in conservative hands.
Nukes are important, because they prevent invasion by foreigners. Libya would not have fallen if it had nukes.
Look at the difference between North Korea and Libya.
Honestly though. When you look at the actual numbers, the American Left is made up of 80% white females.
If we won’t kill them. We will die.
President Trump, or any sitting president, will not go there, and instead try to achieve a change with political maneuvering, which is why we are currently where we are.
Anything a conservative president passes, IF it gets that far, will be shot down in the courts or simply laughed at and ignored by liberal states and their inhabitants.
It is going to take years to undo what has been accomplished by progressives- during which time they will resist and fight tooth and nail- something for which there is no longer sufficient time to affect.
I am afraid that without serious consequences for their actions, they will just keep on keeping on.
Well, for rather lengthy durations of "ASAP" no doubt you are correct. Give it a couple of years and some forced resettlement of that 20-30% population of left-wingers and things ought to quiet down.
But those Right-Wing State Governments that you mention will have their own factional disputes that will be just as vicious as the confrontations they have with the Leftists. A lot of people will get hurt by the same leaders who they trusted and supported. Sorting that out will be ugly.
Lots of collateral damage in that process. Best to plan for events that are painful and take a lot longer to get stabilized than anybody wants them to take.
At 98,000 square miles and half a million residents, Wyoming is roughly .0015 of the U.S. population.
